One question I always made to myself, but to be honest never really investigate, is: Why we never need to de-fragment Linux disks?.

Ok, today using the stumble upon I have found the answer to my old question.

I have never thought it could so easy, but actually it is, here you will find the answer in case you don't have it yet.

Why doesn't Linux need defragmenting?
